Gutter Hangars Save Time and Money

We only use aluminum K-Style gutters on our projects, because they offer our clients the best value for money. Customers sometimes question the reasons for our choice. This post provides a super opportunity to explain our thinking, and how our gutter hangars save time and money.

A Brief Overview of K-Style Aluminum Gutters

K-Style aluminum gutters have become extremely popular across North America. And no wonder, given their efficient design incorporating provision for concealed gutter hangars. Their profiles also come in different sizes, although our customers mostly choose them for their smooth-flowing looks.

Aluminum gutters can make for an ideal DIY project, because they use lightweight material that cuts easily. However, this material allows them to bend and flex, so they can be tricky to hang at a gently sloping gradient that conducts water correctly:

  • Plan your work carefully before you begin. You need to be confident of your lengths, and spacing for downspouts, before you start cutting.
  • Do as much work as you can on the ground . Never under-estimate how tough the work can be, when balancing on a long ladder.
  • Choose gutter hangars that are simple to install, but attach firmly so they don’t come loose when you lift the gutter up into position.
  • Be very careful to get the gutter-slope right, so the water does not pool, or spill over the gutter end on a rainy Calgary day.

The right gutter hangars save time and money, because they go on quickly and stay fixed. You don’t want one working loose in a storm!

That’s Why We Use Quick Screw Gutter Hangars

We switched to Quick Screw gutter hangers about a year ago, and have never looked back. Their design offers better support than a conventional hanger. But on top of that the screw is bigger and longer, and it goes in at an angle. However, these are not the only reasons why Quick Screw hangars became our top choice.

Quick Screw gutter hangars clip firmly between the front and rear gutter profiles, before tightening with a sharp screw of zinc-coated metal that engages with the gutter. This great product is totally invisible from the underside, and so it complements the overall appearance of the installation.

How Our Gutter Hangars Save You Money

Our gutter hangars save money for our clients every time we use them.  We clip them on, tighten the screws, and the job is done. Give us a call if you need an eavestrough system that works. One that does the job properly, but for a price that should make you smile.
